Project of the Month: Shuffleboard

Concrete and Coatings, LLC installed a Shuffleboard System on the Rooftop Bar at the Ox Cart Ale House in Downtown St Paul, MN. Polyurea-350 basecoat was applied followed by a tinted coat of UV stable PG-100. The shuffleboard vinyl graphics were installed on top of the PG-100, then a final clear top coat of PG-100 to lock the graphics in. This system is completely UV stable and will handle the abuse of bar traffic and shuffleboard! Great Job guys!!

Monthly Product Highlight: Polyurea Ultra 2

CFFS Polyurea-2 Ultra is a single component, 100% solids, No Odor, VOC Compliant, Aliphatic Polyurea that was developed for high gloss UV-stable floor topcoats. This coating provides reliable performance in a wide range of temperatures and climate conditions. Polyurea-2 Ultra has excellent resistance to UV rays, excellent abrasion resistance, and resistance to many of today's harshest chemicals. Primary use is for high gloss top coat over smooth surfaces. Not meant to be applied over broadcast floors. No odor allows the installer the flexibility to install indoors with no disturbance to surrounding area. Ultra is sold as a 2 gallon kit.

Tech Tips:

With warmer weather approaching, keep in mind the speeds of the products that have been using. It may be time to start switching over to the summer blends. Also, air temp and slab temp both need to be kept in mind when deciding on a product speed. If you have left over winter blends, those can be mixed with the B sides of the summer blends, so no need to hold onto or waste your inventory.
