Project of the Month: Urban Moose Brewery

Trevor Stewart of Garage-Tech X-Treme is in the final stages of the Urban Moose Brew Pub project. This project consisted of several different Citadel proucts including Citadel's UC-190 Urethane Concrete installed in the brew area, a full chip system installed in the tap room, and Pearlessence Metallic installed in the seating area, bathrooms, and bar tops!! To quote the owner of the Brew-Pub in a recent newspaper article: "The taproom will feel like you're hanging out in your neighbor's garage, only your neighbor has the coolest garage in town" - Roy Dodds-Owner, Urban Moose

Trevor has completed the brew area with urethane concrete that will give the high chemical resistance needed in this area, and also the full chip section in the tap room, and metallic bathrooms and bar tops. With only the metallic seating area yet to be completed, this project is on schedule to be completed in no time and opening this summer! Excellent work Trevor!!

Monthly Product Highlight: Ultra-Hydro Stop H2O

CFFS Ultra-Hydro Stop H2O Primer is a two component, water-based, 50% solids, moisture vapor transmission (MVT) blocking and pH resistant epoxy primer used to remedy concrete floors with high moisture levels. Capable of holding back up to 12 lbs. of MVT (two coats), this primer has excellent adhesion to moisture laden concrete slabs. Ultra-Hydro Stop H2O Primer can be applied to green concrete as early as 48 hours after placement, reducing job-site downtime and delays in production. Easy squeegee and roller application and is ready to re-coat in as little as 6 hours.

Upcoming Events: Get Certified!

Become a certified Citadel Products installer by attending a training seminar. Citadel training sessions are typically held on a monthly to bi-monthly basis depending on the number of interested parties. We always welcome new installers but even if you have been to a previous session, consider a refresher course because we are constantly working to improve installation techniques. Who knows, you may just learn a new technique that could save you time and money! Please let us know if you are interested in attending a training seminar, we would love the opportunity to showcase our current products and also any new products and installation techniques!! The next tentative class is scheduled for Fall 2016.

Tech Tips: Warm Weather Applications

As the "dog days of summer" are approaching, you may find times when temperatures are very warm with high humidity. These conditions can drastically affect your working or applications times. If you find your products are more difficult to use than normal, you may want to consider adding solvent to your products to help ease with application. Please refer to the Technical Data sheets for acceptable solvents and amounts to add. Another tip is to keep your products out of direct sunlight and as cool as possible. Starting with warm product out of the bucket will affect your application.
